The most important things about skincare are knowing your own skin type and find products that target your problematic areas!
I have combination skin, meaning some areas on my face is oily, and some parts are dry. I have been experimenting with different products for a while now, with some hydrating products, and some that target oiliness! Below are the products I use for day and night:
DAY TIME
Cleanser: herb day aloe & green tea facial foaming cleanser from The Face Shop ($9) -
Toner: witch hazel facial toner from Thayers ($16) -
Serum: matrixyl 10% + HA from The Ordinary ($) -
Eye Cream: elf illuminating eye cream from ($10) - #start=2
1st Lotion: Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion from ($17) -
Final Lotion: SPF 30 facial moisturizing lotion from ($) – this lotion contains ceramides, niacinamide & hyaluronic acid -
----------------------------------------
NIGHT TIME
Cleanser: tea tree skin clearing facial wash from ($20/400mL) -
Toner: glycolic acid 7% from The Ordinary ($) -
Serum #1: caffeine solution 5% + EGCG from The Ordinary ($) -
Serum #2: lactic acid 10% + HA from The Ordinary ($) -
Eye Cream: elf illuminating eye cream from ($10)
1st Lotion: Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion from ($17)
Final Lotion: evening facial moisturizing lotion for normal/oily skin from ($)
----------------------------------------------
I throw in a face mask once a week or before an event/photoshoot!
A few tips to keep in mind:
- always wait 5-10 minutes before applying the next product (other than toner, always put the toner on right after the cleanser)
- always press your toner in, this helps with absorption
- dab the undereye serums and eye cream
- always apply your lotion in an upward position to prevent face sagging
- DRINK YOUR WATER - keep your skin and body hydrated!
I've attached the links to purchase all these products! Let me know what you guys think!
